Ressaca do MTV Video Music Awards

Curiosa a crítica do New York Times à cerimónia de entrega destes prémios, relativamente ao vídeo do “D.A.N.C.E. ” (“simple but clever video”) da dupla francesa Justice (nomeado na categoria “Melhor Vídeo do Ano”):

“In the video, which was directed by the team known as Jonas & François, there’s just about no action aside from stylish mutations on animated t-shirts.

The track is an international club hit, but in America it remains an underground favorite, and it wasn’t exactly ubiquitous on MTV over the past year. In fact, it seems possible that more people saw the video on YouTube — where “D.A.N.C.E.” has more than three million hits — than on MTV.

And that possibility alone says something about MTV’s diminished dominance.”
